Migrol is joining the Plugsurfing network, making its M-Charge charge points at Migrol and Migros locations across Switzerland available to Plugsurfing’s e-mobility service provider partners and their drivers.

Charging works best when it fits naturally into everyday life.
That idea sits at the heart of Migrol’s M-Charge offering in Switzerland. With charging stations located at Migrol and Migros sites, drivers can charge while shopping, stopping at a fuel station, or taking care of everyday errands.
Now, Migrol is joining the Plugsurfing network, making its M-Charge charge points available to Plugsurfing’s e-mobility service provider partners and their drivers.
Charging where people already spend their time
Migrol’s M-Charge network currently includes 1,029 public charge points across Switzerland, with 174 HPC, 669 DC, and 186 AC charge points.
Charging options range from 22 kW AC charging to fast charging with up to 320 kW of charging power.
A big part of Migrol’s strategy is improving charging opportunities close to Migros supermarkets.
Over time, Migrol plans to increasingly replace AC charge points at supermarket locations with faster, around 50 kW DC charging. The idea is simple: give drivers the opportunity to add meaningful range while they are doing something they already planned to do.
At Migrol fuel stations, the company is also continuing to expand HPC charging for drivers who need a faster stop.
By the end of 2029, Migrol aims to operate 2,000 public charge points across Switzerland.
Making M-Charge available to more drivers
By joining the Plugsurfing network, Migrol can make its charging infrastructure available through Plugsurfing’s eMSP partners.
For drivers, that means more opportunities to access M-Charge locations through the charging and mobility services they already use.
For Migrol, it creates an additional way to bring more drivers to its charging network without having to build separate integrations and commercial relationships with every individual eMSP.
Plugsurfing manages the roaming relationship and the operational work behind it, including the connections, billing, invoicing, and reconciliation processes that come with making one charging network available across multiple e-mobility services.
That lets Migrol focus on what matters most on its side: continuing to grow M-Charge and developing charging locations that fit naturally into customers’ daily routines.
Everyday charging, at a larger scale
There is no single charging behavior that works for every journey.
Sometimes drivers want to charge while they shop. Sometimes they need a quick top-up at a fuel station. The strongest charging networks make room for both.
That is what makes Migrol’s approach interesting: supermarket charging and fast charging are not competing concepts. They serve different moments in the same customer journey.
As M-Charge continues to grow, its addition to the Plugsurfing network will help make those charging opportunities available to more drivers across the e-mobility services connected to Plugsurfing.
