Berlin, 1st September 2026 — Plugsurfing's Roam OCPI solution has been selected by Circle K to expand EV charging access for drivers across Europe through the Circle K eMobility platform.

The agreement enables Circle K customers to access Plugsurfing's roaming network beyond Circle K charging stations, giving drivers broader charging coverage through a single charging experience.

Plugsurfing's roaming network connects more than one million charge points across Europe and includes major charging providers such as IONITY, Fastned, and Allego.

The partnership is built on Roam OCPI, Plugsurfing's roaming solution based on the OCPI protocol already widely used across the EV charging ecosystem. This allows mobility providers and charge point operators like Circle K to implement roaming through infrastructure and workflows their teams already know, helping reduce integration complexity and accelerate rollout across markets.

"As EV adoption continues to grow, customers increasingly expect charging to be simple, reliable and available wherever they travel. Through our partnership with Plugsurfing, we are significantly expanding access to charging across Europe while maintaining a seamless experience for Circle K customers. By connecting customers to a broader charging network, we are making it easier to charge confidently at Circle K locations and beyond."

— Elin Bøe, Commercial Director, eMobility, Circle K Europe

The agreement reflects growing demand for roaming solutions that are faster to deploy and simpler to operate as EV charging networks continue to scale across Europe.

"More charge point operators are also becoming eMSPs and looking for ways to offer drivers access beyond their own infrastructure," said Tom Rowlands, Managing Director, Global EV Solutions at Corpay. "Roam OCPI gives partners like Circle K a practical way to expand charging access across markets without taking on the complexity of managing roaming integrations and operations themselves."

The partnership reflects a broader shift toward roaming models built on open industry standards, allowing providers to simplify integrations and bring new services to market more efficiently.
