What’s MILES all about?
Need a car? MILES keeps it simple. Whether you’re making a quick trip or want to rent a car for a couple of weeks or months, you’ll find what you need in their app. Small car or a van, you pay for what you use — no hidden fees. If you’re over 18 and have an EU driver’s license, you can use MILES in 12 German and three Belgian cities.
Why choose MILES?
Let’s be real – most cars spend 95% of their time just sitting there, costing you money. MILES lets you skip the hassle of car ownership and just pay for your actual driving.
It’s perfect when public transport or bikes won’t cut it:
- Heading to dinner on a rainy night but planning to grab a taxi home? MILES.
- Need to haul stuff to the recycling center? MILES.
- Shopping trip too big for the bus? MILES.
- Moving apartments? MILES.
- Want to dodge the airport taxi queue? MILES.
Prices start at €0.79 per km or €45.00 per day, and the app figures out the best rate for you. The best part? Fuel, electricity, insurance, and parking are all included. And if you use MILES often, check out the MILES Pass subscription for better rates on everything.
Electric car-sharing, powered by Plugsurfing
When you drive a MILES car, don’t worry about fuel or charging costs – they’re covered. In fact, MILES will give you €10 in MILES credits if you charge your rental electric car when its battery drops below 30 percent. Pretty sweet deal, right?
MILES now uses Plugsurfing to help you find and use chargers. That means you can access 147,000 charging points in Germany.
All this is happening right there in the MILES app. Using our Drive API dev tool kit, the MILES team has added EV charging to their existing app. This allows both companies to focus on what they do best: Plugsurfing enabling smooth and reliable EV charging and MILES making it part of an ultra-simple car-renting experience.
Driving the electric future of car-sharing
We at Plugsurfing are proud to support MILES’ commitment to electrified mobility. According to MILES, 12 percent of their German fleet is electric — no small feat, considering EVs cost rental companies twice as much to run as regular cars.
MILES knows what works in the real world of car sharing. Like other companies across Europe, they’re figuring out how to make electric vehicles part of their service in a way that makes sense for everyone. Through our partnership, we’re focused on making EV charging simple and reliable – one piece of the puzzle in building better, more sustainable ways to get around our cities.
